Intro
Problem
As NAIIAN Beauty prepared to enter the Singapore market, they needed an online storefront that could introduce both the brand and its science-led approach to a new audience.
The challenge was to communicate the technology and research behind the products without overwhelming customers, while creating a visual identity and shopping experience that still felt elevated and approachable.
Approach
I approached the project as both a designer and developer, thinking about how NAIIAN’s science-led story could translate into an ecommerce experience from the very beginning. A big part of the design was finding ways to make complex information around the brand’s technology, ingredients and product benefits feel visual, digestible and easy to explore.
I considered the whole shopping journey, from product discovery and navigation to subscriptions, reviews and events, before bringing everything together.
I also created a system of editorial layouts, product storytelling, educational sections that could communicate the science without losing the beauty and premium feel of the brand throughout the whole shopping journey.
